Just so you know...you left a huge legacy in UPLB and have the recognition you deserve. People understand the mad sk1llz you must have had to run a network that big.

Guess the thing about sysads is that the more they do...the less people notice. If people don't know we exist, that means we're doing our job right. Still, it's satisfying in a melancholic sort of way I guess. Recognition is the small part of the pie....but having your failovers kick in when WIC modules conk out give the real satisfaction. Likewise, few things are as comforting as the sight of dozens of blinking leds and the assuring sounds of servers humming. As sir Wally would say...."everything humming along nicely".

Lastly, your tech stories are great. If there wasn't anyone back then interested in what you did...there sure are a lot of us now. :D
